Random Thoughts:

Quotes:

  • “I gotta tell you if I were to have to live multiple lives, I would have picked someplace more exotic, you know. Warmer climate – Bali, Costa Rica, Hong Kong.” – Duke Crocker
  • “But you know then we got to chatting, favorite coffees, scented candles– girl talk.
  • Nathan: “Stay away from her.”
Duke: “No. But I’ll tell you what I will do, Nate. I’m gonna find out who this hunter really is. I’m gonna actually do something to help Audrey.”
  • Audrey: “I think he’s cold.”
    Nathan: “Could be cold.”
    Audrey: “Give me your coat.”
Nathan: “He could also be dangerous. Could be contagious”
    Audrey: “Give me your coat.”
    Nathan: “I don’t think that’s a good idea, Parker.”
  • “So uh…how long have you been covering up what happens in this town.” – Duke Crocker
  • Dwight: “I know that if you and I ever went again, but I didn’t super charge you with my blood, things might go different.”
    Duke: “Nice talking to you.”
  • Claire: “Detective Parker?”
    Audrey: “Yeah.”
    Claire: “I’m Dr. Callahan.”
    Audrey: “Can I help you?”
Claire: “Well, I was hoping that I could help you. I’m a psychiatrist.”
Audrey: “Oh, you know what? We actually don’t even have a suspect in custody yet, so–”
Claire: “No, no, Detective. I’m here for you.”
    Audrey: “Me? Why?”
Claire: “Officialy? It’s required. You were abducted and any civil employee that carries a weapon needs a psych evaluation after that kind of trauma.”
    Audrey: “Says who?”
Claire: “Says years of psychiatric research and the town’s insurance carrier. You know, there’s no reason to be alarmed here.”
    Audrey: “How old are you?”
Claire: “I’m 28. And I am detecting something in your tone, Detective.”
Audrey: “Okay, let me make this perfectly clear. I’m not gonna talk to you.”
Claire: “Look. Normally, we could do this whole therapy courtship thing where you sat on my couch and we talk about the cushions for six months till you learn to trust me and then we’d get right into it. But we don’t have that kind of time.”
    Audrey: “What do you mean?”
Claire: “I know what you do for this town. And if you think that you don’t need therapy, well…you really need therapy.
    Nathan: “We found him.”
Audrey: “Nathan. This is Dr. Callahan. She’s a shrink. We needed to talk. We did, and I feel much better.”
Claire: “Well, imagine how good you’re gonna feel after one of our required sessions.”
Nathan: “That might not be such a bad idea. You did give my coat to a zombie, and you almost let Duke stab me this morning.”
Audrey: “We’re gonna talk about this in the car.”
  • “I did my undergrad at Yale and my M.D. at UConn. I am a psychiatrist not a social worker.” – Claire Callahan
  • “See? You can beat the troubles.” – Duke Crocker
  • Duke: “I don’t want to ruin this nice little moment that’s happening between us, but why are you helping me now?”
Dwight: “I saw the way you reacted when that blood got on you. You hate your…problem.”
    Duke: “It’s not my problem.”
  • Audrey: “Are you sure you’re dressed for this?”
    Claire: “I’m not, no.”
    Audrey: “Why the suit?”
Claire: “I’m a professional, Audrey. Professionals wear suits to work.”
    Audrey: “Even in Haven?”
Claire: “Especially in Haven. Look my clients aren’t normal. Anything that I can do to help them feel normal helps.”
  • Audrey: “Hey, uh, thanks for–”
Claire: “You’re amazing. I am so glad I got to see what you do. You absolutely need therapy.”
Audrey: “Can you hear yourself when you talk?”
    Claire: “I’m working on that.”
Audrey: “Listen, It’s–it’s just I think I’m past therapy.”
    Claire: “Nobody’s past it.”
Audrey: “I’ve been trapped in a snow globe. I’ve fought shadows, and I’ve been almost killed by machines.”
Claire: “Hadley is getting over the snow globes, and Thornton…I hate going to that guy’s house at night. And Louis’s my Thursday. I got him into gardening instead of machines. Killer tomatoes. Well, not ‘killer,’ obviously. They’re delicious. I think they’d be all right with me telling you all this.”
    Audrey: “You help the troubled.”
Claire: “You’re on the front lines. I get’em when you’re done. But people like you and me, we need therapy. We take on everybody else’s crazy, and pretty soon, we have no room left for our own. You really ought to come see me.”
Audrey: “Can I bring my new dog?”
Claire: “Wait, you’re gonna keep him?”
Audrey: “He’s a good listener. I’ll warm up on him before I come to you.”
Claire: “Sure. But, um, there’s another relationship that I would encourage you to address.”
    Audrey: “Uh that’s…that’s so–that’s complicated.”
Claire: “I have no doubt that it is, but I also know the only reason that he allowed me to follow you around is because he really cares about you. It doesn’t hurt to have someone to lean on.”
  • Duke: “Hey.”
    Audrey: “Hey.”
    Duke: “A dog?”
Audrey: “Yeah. My dog, Cookie. I think I’m gonna keep him. It’s not against the lease, is it? ‘Cause I don’t think technically we have a lease.”
Duke: “Audrey, it’s not the lease. I need to talk to you.”
    Audrey: “Sure.”
Duke: “If it were me, I’d want to know.
    Audrey: “What?”
Duke: “The Hunter. It’s not a person. It’s a meteor storm. It comes out of the Orion constellation. It hits every 27 years. When you were Lucy, and before that, when you were Sarah, the night of the Hunter meteor storm is the night that you disappeared both times.”
    Audrey: “Where did I go?”
    Duke: “I don’t know. You just…vanished.”
    Audrey: “When’s the next one?”
    Duke: “Two months.”
    Audrey: “Two months?”
    Duke: “49 days.”
  • Nathan: “Surprised you gave him up. I kinda thought you wanted a dog.”
Audrey: “I did. It just–it wouldn’t work out.”
